Our Favorite Podcasts of 2017
Boagworld – User experience, as a concept, evolves on seemingly a weekly basis. Almost no one has seen that evolution first hand the way Paul Boag has. The Boagworld UX show focuses on digital strategy, agency management, and user experience advice, giving both practical advice and overarching strategy that can be instantly applied to workflows worldwide.
The Cloudcast – When it comes learning any and everything about the cloud, look no further than the Cloudcast. Aaron Delp and Brian Gracely’s hour long podcast leaves no stone unturned, covering everything from general cloud philosophies to booting without a kernel.
Shoptalk – What happens when you get two web development guru’s on the same podcast? Shoptalk, of course. Hosted by Chris Coyier and DaveRupert, CSS is the topic of choice, but real life creep in on a regular basis. Expect tips on working remotely, blogging, live coding, job hunting, and more.
Developer Tea – For some developers, coffee / tea time is the most important part of their day. Developer Tea is the side of the Spec.fm network that focuses on content exclusively for web developers. Instead of focusing on how-tos and technical knowhow, Developer Tea does a wonderful job of focusing on how to improve a developer’s career and make those crucial career jumps to leapfrog the competition.
UIE.fm – It’s almost impossible to step into the UI/UX world without encountering the work of Jared Spool and Adam Churchill. UIE.fm is the epicenter for all things in the UIE (user interface engineering) world, housing every podcast the team has released since 2005. The roster of guests over the past 12 years list most likely includes your favorite UX event speaker, making the archives a treasure trove of UI information.
