Media Temple Table Tennis Invitational III - Recap

Fresh off the success of our very first New York City edition, the Table Tennis Tournament returned to Los Angeles in style. On October 20, 2015, 64 teams gathered at the Standard hotel in Downtown LA to compete for the title of Table Tennis Tournament champion.

True to form, the costume contest became a runway show of elaborate and inspired costumes. Cousin It and the rest of the Adams Family rubbed shoulders with a hockey-masked Jason Vorhees. Lederhosen-clad Oktoberfesters clanked glasses with cowboys and cowgirls. Even Barack Obama (and his secret service agent) made an appearance to show off his backhand serve. Check out all the photos right here!

Of course, it all came down to the competition, in which LA’s top designers and creative agencies fought for limited edition swag bags and a donation to Teens Exploring Technology, a non-profit organization that uses technology to promote positive youth development and leadership among inner city teenagers. The final table reached a fever pitch as Search Business Group took on Red Interactive, reprising the final of our very first Table Tennis Invitational last year. Ron Wave Design captured an unprecedented third straight championship. Congratulations to both teams for a hard fought final and thanks to everyone who showed up!

Stay tuned as our next tournament might be coming to a city near you…
