Mongo DB Packed the (mt) House
Last night we hosted a mini-conference with Mongo DB experts, 10Gen, covering basic to advanced MongoDB administration. Over 130 gathered in attendance, leaving standing room only. The line up was great and presentations were very informative. After all was said and done, we decided to go quench our thirst and stretch our legs… and what better way to do that than an after party at Rush Street.
A special thanks to the wonderful speakers from 10gen, FrothLogic and (mt)!
- Antoine Girbal, Software Engineer, 10gen, “Building your first MongoDB application”
- Alex Sharp, FrothLogic, “Schema Migrations: MySQL to Mongo FTW”
- Chris Lea, (mt) Media Temple, “Administration”
- Alvin Richards, SD of Service and Enterprise Engineering, 10gen, “Indexing and Query Optimizer”
- Justin Jenkins, Learn Mongo, “Beyond Logging: Using MongoDB to Power a Private Social Network”
- Eliot Horowitz, CTO & Co-Founder, 10gen, “Scaling with Mongo: Auto-sharding and replica sets”
- Project Roadmap and Q & A with the MongoDB Development Team
If you missed the event last night, you can always head over to MongoDB.com to check out their NoSQL solution. The NoSQL movement addresses a need for a more scalable database structure able to store huge amounts of data. MongoDB is a popular database driving NoSQL development in large scale production environments. (mt) is dedicated to making the internet more efficient by supporting open source projects such as MongoDB.
