Starting today, all new (dv) Dedicated-Virtual and (dpv) Nitro Servers are being deployed with updated software! They now come with the new version of Parallel’s Plesk Control Panel (8.4) and an updated version of PHP (5.2.6).

Read on for some notable improvements:

Categories in Application Vault – Browse applications by certain categories – like “Web/Blog” or “Collaboration/Portals” within the Application Vault. This makes browsing the Application Vault easier!

DomainKeys support – Provide additional AntiSPAM protection with DomainKeys technology – currently used by Gmail, Yahoo, Verisign, and others. Now you can have this functionality at the click of a button!

Database users prefix – Include a prefix for all database users within a certain domain for increased security and easy searching.

Import/Export Database Backup – Plesk allows you to back up and subsequently restore your databases on a per-domain basis.

New Plesk event notifications – New API events generated upon domain and client template creation, update or removal are available.

Extended branding options – Plesk now allows you to change the browser window title though Plesk GUI.

ProFTPd 1.3.1 Update – Improved security through the use of a newer version of ProFTPd (1.3.1).

Horde 3.1.7 Update – Updated version of Horde (3.1.7)

Parallels branding – The new Parallels Plesk Control Panel includes the Parallels logo and branding.

In addition to these new features you also benefit from better performance, stability, and security. If you already own a (dv) 3.5 and would like to be included in this upgrade, all you need to do is open a Support Request from the AccountCenter.
