In this week’s (gs) Update, we cover the ongoing progress of transitioning (gs) Clusters 1 and 2 to Gen 2 architecture, more news about Cluster 5, an update on our new Fiji and MySQL5 tech, and a bite-sized Anatomy Of piece explaining the finer details of our transition to Gen 2 storage.
We have some good stuff this week. Internal testing of two new pieces of tech is complete – Fiji Agent (automated cluster migrations) and MySQL 5 for Clusters 1-3.
In this update we have a progress report on our transition to a segment-based storage model using Sun hardware, some good news about our cluster migration tool, and we’re announcing the start of our MySQL 5 Upgrade BETA program.
